The Wellpath

Cares Foundation was

established in 2021.

The Wellpath Cares Foundation provides grants to non-profit charitable organizations aligned with Wellpath’s mission to reduce recidivism, improve the lives and healthcare of vulnerable and disadvantaged populations, and support patients and organizations by addressing disparities of care that help reduce the impact of Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) in such populations.

This tax-exempt non-operating independent foundation is affiliated with and funded by Wellpath. In 2021, Wellpath donated $1 million and provided substantial in-kind support to the foundation.

Morehouse School of Medicine MAJIC Program

The MAJIC program offers a master’s degree program in Justice-Involved Care and an affiliated Justice-Involved Life Coach Certification to corrections professionals, which teaches students how to better care for the incarcerated population

Morehouse School of Medicine Kennedy-Satcher Center for Mental Health Equity

The Kennedy-Satcher Center for Mental Health Equity is producing a series of webinars focusing on the care of incarcerated individuals and improving mental health, substance abuse, and health equity services to formerly incarcerated individuals to reduce recidivism.
